Intergenerational Dialogue • Digitised Learning • Metacognitive Skills • Transdisciplinary Approach
The education landscape has become increasingly digitised – and this will continue as technology becomes more and more developed.
Young people these days are digital natives, spending large amounts of their school and personal time in front of a screen. As a result, strong digital and social media literacy skills are a must for this online generation.
This is the ASAP project’s goal: fostering conscious use of digital and social media in pre-adolescents. In order to achieve this, the project will focus on developing the metacognitive and critical thinking skills of young people in order for them to understand how media shapes and transforms the relation between the inner and outer world.
The project will approach the topic in a transdisciplinary way and will out put research, a training program and a set of digital tools for educators wanting to address the issue in their own classrooms.
